T-2 is the first super sonic aircraft developed and manufactured in Japan, in order to train fighter pilots. Her first flight was made on July 20th 1971. The Blue Impulse chose this jet trainer as the successer to F-86F Sabre in 1980. Its suprior speed was highly creditable, but the less maneuverbility caused long interval time between each play. T-2 retired from the Blue Impulse in 1995, but still in service in training squadron.
