In Vietnam War Era, all USAF airplanes were painted in camouflage, silver or unpainted. For what kind of usage was the camouflaged T-29 operated in Yokota Air Base? Air America DC-4 with its brilliantly polished fuselage was carrying dead soldiers from the front line to Japan. C-141 was the biggest transportation used for carrying squadrons back and forth between America and Far East. What kind of mission did the F-4 have that day? Who knows? I was not concerned with the exact purpose of the airplanes' flying, and I kept taking pictures of them just for my fun. It's long ago. Those pictures were taken around 1970 near Yokota Air Base in Japan. |
